Dec 5th 2007 brought a huge huge surf along the California coastline.  I took this photo at the UCSB "Campus Point in Isla Vista, CA.   Some of the sets rolling in at the point were 10-20 feet high.  Here a surfer is just dropping into about a 10 foot-plus wave.
