Dec 5th 2007 brought a huge huge surf along the California coastline.  I took this photo at the UCSB "Campus Point in Isla Vista, CA.   Some of the sets rolling in at the point were 10-20 feet high. Notice the surfer deep in the pocket.  You can really see how big the wave is compared to his height.
