A decent swell hit Southern California the weekend of Dec. 12th.  A group of about five surfers were out at Coal Oil Point just north of Isla Vista near the UCSB campus.  Some of the waves rolling in were easily ten feet high with some even bigger. I added this photo to the website to show how big the waves were on this day.  I'm guessing this wave is about 10 feet high.
