The canopy of a typical old oak tree growing in the Santa Ynez Valley of California.  I believe these trees are called "Live Oaks" because they keep their leaves for most of the year.  Ever since I moved to this area of California, I have really been drawn to the beautiful gnarly twisted branches of these old oak trees.
